Terms of Service
These terms are maintained by LumaLayer and govern access to the LumaLayer workspace during the pilot program. They are plain-language terms, not a substitute for a district contract or a Data Privacy Agreement.
Who may use LumaLayer
LumaLayer is offered to licensed speech-language pathologists and the organizations that employ or contract them. Access is granted individually through an approved access request; accounts may not be shared. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials confidential.
Clinical responsibility
LumaLayer generates draft documentation. Every SOAP note, progress note and family summary is a draft until you review, edit and approve it. You remain the author of record and are solely responsible for the clinical accuracy, completeness and compliance of anything you submit to a district, agency or family. LumaLayer does not provide clinical advice and does not make eligibility, placement or treatment decisions.
Your data
You or your organization own the student records, session recordings and documents you put into LumaLayer. You grant LumaLayer the permission needed to store and process that content in order to operate the service for you. You are responsible for having the authority and consents required to upload student information, including recordings.
Acceptable use
- Do not upload records for students you are not authorized to serve.
- Do not use the service to make automated decisions about a student without clinician review.
- Do not attempt to access another account, tenant or student record.
- Do not resell, sublicense or reverse-engineer the service.
Pilot terms, availability and changes
Pilot access is provided as-is while features are still being built, and functionality may change. Pilot pricing, where offered, is described on the pricing page and applies for the period stated there. We may modify or discontinue features, and we will give reasonable notice of material changes to these terms or to pricing.
Termination and export
You may stop using LumaLayer at any time and request deletion of your account and its student data. We may suspend access for non-payment or for use that violates these terms. On termination, you may request an export of your records before deletion.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, LumaLayer is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and its total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
