Delete account

When your account is deleted, LumaLayer removes the following for that account and for every workspace that only you belong to:

• Your account: login, name, email, profile, setup answers, and sign-in history.
• Workspaces that only you belong to.
• Students and their records in those workspaces: names, grade, student IDs, IEP goals, and family contacts.
• Session notes and outputs in those workspaces.
• Session audio recordings and transcripts in those workspaces.
• Calendar events on your account.
• Jes voice transcripts tied to your account.

Family summary links you shared stop working immediately.

Some records stay after the account is gone. They are kept only as the Privacy Policy describes.

• Security logs and audit entries, including FERPA-related audit trails. Anonymization strips identifying fields while preserving the audit trail. Records otherwise remain until you delete them or your organization ends its agreement, and deletion requests are actioned within 30 days. Audit entries are not removed from the application.
• Billing records held by Stripe, for as long as the law requires. Stripe receives billing contact and payment details, and never student data.
• Redacted Jes transcripts used only to review Jes quality. Student identifiers are already removed. Those copies are deleted automatically after 90 days.
• Student records in a shared district or team workspace. That organization controls them. We route a request about those records to the workspace admin. A personal account deletion does not remove education records the organization keeps.

Signed in: open Settings, Security, then choose Delete account… The dialog is titled Delete my account. Type DELETE, then choose Permanently delete account. Deletion runs immediately and signs you out.

If you are the only owner of a shared workspace that still has other members, deletion waits until you hand ownership to someone else. The dialog links to the Team page: Open Team page to transfer ownership.

Signed out, or if you cannot sign in: email privacy@lumalayer.ai from the account's email address. The message uses the subject Account deletion request. Include the account email and, if you have it, the workspace name. A short note is optional. Send only those details.

• Deletion from Settings, Security is immediate.
• Emailed requests are confirmed within 5 business days and completed within 30 days.
• Deleted data is removed from backups as they expire.

The 30-day completion window is the same period the Privacy Policy gives for deletion requests.
